JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Director supervises maintenance and repair of buildings and ground and ensures that facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner and in accordance with Federal, State and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Train and supervise employees of the maintenance department.
- Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work.
- Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
- Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
- Implement workplace safety policies and standards.
- Maintains the grounds by moving, sweeping, and trimming trees and shrubs or securing/managing contractor for those duties.
- Conducts daily inspections of the building exterior and ground equipment.
- Keeps accurate maintenance records of work done, inventory and purchasing.
- Manages expenses through knowledge of budget. May purchase maintenance supplies, tools and appliances with Administrator approval.
- Responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of Housekeeping and Laundry personnel and duties.
